[He raises his voice then, cautiously and with a bit of trepidation. It's clear by his tone that there's something seriously bothering him-- he sounds like a little kid who's waiting on the inevitability of some wrongdoing of his to be discovered and scolded for.]
Is there anyone still alive? Can you hear me?
((ooc: Alex is so ashamed that he gave into the torture that he's really kind of afraid to show his face around town. Don't be surprised if he shies away from your character, if they're normally buds. Also feel free to have labor pains at any point now.))
