With circumstances as they are, Alex realizes he can't just be a brother or a friend anymore; he has to try to pick up the reins from his father. It's a pretty big problem for him, considering how many issues he has with the way his father went about raising his kids. Not only that, but Alex also carries a half a dozen other responsibilities with him as well, when all he wants to do is screw around and act his age. This conflict of interest has a tendency to cause tensions between him and his little brother. However, more than anything, Alex just wishes he could give Joshua the world. Claire Redfield - Claire is the light of Alex's life. She rushed to his side immediately from day one, and the two became fast friends. They were brought together romantically during a lowered inhibitions event that resulted in a two-day fuckfest between them. Ever since then, the two have been nigh inseparable, and they have a very healthy, loving, trusting give-and-take relationship. He's fiercely protective of her and would go through hell and back just to have her by his side. Tom Hanniger - Tom's that thing that's hanging on the opposite arm that Claire occupies. Alex and Tom bonded over all the things that were wrong in life, and are now friends through thick and thin. Ironically, hanging out with Tom is probably the most normal that Alex ever feels in World's End. With the whole "best friend" status going on, they're always quick to have each other's backs. A lot of people in World's End think they're gay. Elle Holloway - Alex has this problem where he doesn't really know what Elle is to him anymore. Before coming to World's End, Alex secretly thought he was probably going to end up marrying Elle one day. However, since showing up here and falling in love with Claire, things have changed. Alex has no idea what Elle feels for him, either, which causes even more awkwardness. Until things are more certain between them, Alex is just grateful for the times they do still get to hang out as old friends. Chris Redfield - Chris showed up somewhere around the same time as the aforementioned "fuckfest" involving his sister was occurring, which led to a very rocky start between him and Alex. However, they went through a serious bonding phase following an unfortunate death of Claire, and they swapped big brother stories. After the way Chris rushed to Alex's side when he needed him following Claire's death, Alex immediately cleaved to him and now looks at him as almost his own big brother in a way. Zelda - When he first showed up in World's End, Zelda took Alex in, housed him, and treated his wounds almost the second he called for aid. She has always stood by his side and kept him safe, no matter how bad things in his life got. It makes Alex seriously want to join the Queensguard, if only to repay her for all that she's done, but being the boyfriend of the Task Force Sheriff interferes with that. On some level, Alex looks to Zelda as the mother he always wanted and never had. Riqis (Riku Replica) - Alex is pretty friendly with Riqis. They have common ground of identity issues, and came to realize that they both are always scared that the reality they live in is all in their heads. Though they don't hang out together on the weekends, they're pretty apt on keeping one another in the loop of the goings-on around World's End. Dean Winchester - |
